It was 2022 and I was living alone in Hoover, Alabama determined to learn how to be single for a decent amount of time for the first time in my life. Nick and I like to say to certain people that we met through mutual friends but it was really the dating apps lol. We talk now about how lucky it was because we were both about to delete them entirely when we met. On our first date one night in mid July, we clicked right away and it was just easy. He reminds me how significant that moment was for him seeing me in person for the first time (I was wearing a white sundress with white heels and manifesting!) and I'm very lucky he was not a serial killer! We went to Farrelly's in Hoover and it was the start of something beautiful. We still make an effort to go back every year on the day of our first date.

If you know Nick you know how easy-going he is and I was looking for someone like that. Not long after we became official, I went off to work my first travel nurse contract in Georgia. It was a true testament to how loyal and dedicated we were to each other, still managing to see each other pretty frequently despite the 2 hour drive. After that job ended, we immediately went on a Disney trip which is a true test of anyone's relationship lol. This was when I saw how well we work together in stressful situations with how well we traveled together. I moved back to Alabama after that and we've been joined at the hip ever since. Seeing and experiencing how intentional and thoughtful Nick is with everything he does made me see how great of a life partner he would be.

Since that fateful summer night in July, it's been almost 4 years of travels and adventures, of rescuing and raising kittens, watching sports (mainly NFL), workout dates, naps, more energy drinks than is probably recommended, and lots and lots of love.

He has always known how important Australia is to my family and I which meant the world to me when he planned an elaborate proposal in Sydney, Australia (people still mention how incredible this was to this day lol). Of course I said yes!

We can't wait to celebrate with everyone in May! <3
